Drees & Sommer UK has announced the acquisition of RSP Consulting Engineers LLP (RSP), a leading UK consulting engineering firm.
Scottish engineering consultancy RSP Consulting Engineers will become part of the construction and property consulting firm Drees & Sommer UK, which will hold 100% of the shares of the acquired company. Established in 1987, RSP is known for its work within financial services, hospitality, data centres and life sciences, as well as its commitment to providing environmentally sustainable design solutions.
RSP's areas of expertise - which include building services design, energy optimisation and infrastructure - should help Drees & Sommer deliver a more complete interdisciplinary approach within the UK. This latest deal follows the recent acquisition of Johnston Houston, a building and construction consultancy based in Northern Ireland, in September 2024. RSP brings more than 60 new employees to the Drees & Sommer UK team, increasing the total workforce to over 300 employees across 12 offices in the UK.
