Omani construction firm Douglas OHI has begun building temporary offices and utility infrastructure for the Ghubrah 3 Desalination Plant in Oman.
This development represents the first stage of preparations for a desalination plant in Oman. The Ghubrah 3 Desalination Plant, designed and constructed by the Spanish group GS Inima, will serve as a crucial water source for 2.5 million residents in Muscat. The plant will have a standard capacity of 300,000 cubic meters per day, with the potential to increase to 315,000 cubic meters during peak demand periods.
