DigitalBridge Group, Inc. has announced the acquisition of an ownership stake in AIMS Group from TIME dotCom Berhad (Time) by funds affiliated with DigitalBridge Investment Management, the investment management platform of DigitalBridge Group.
The acquisition provides for the formation of an edge data center platform focused on the high-growth markets of the Southeast Asia region. The benefits of buying AIMS are that the company is a leading operator in the region with a strong management team that is ready for growth, a solid development path and significant expansion opportunities. For the development of AIMS, the experience of DigitalBridge in investing, building, and operating data centers to the highest standards will be useful.
The deal is expected to close in 2023 and is subject to normal closing terms.
