The LuWa consortium, comprising DIF Infrastructure V fund, EDF Luminus and Citelum, has won the EUR200 million (US$226.3 million) Plan Lumières lighting PPP project.

This involves the design, construction, financing and maintenance of energy efficient LED street lights across 2,700km of highways, ring roads, interchanges and national roads in Wallonia, a region of southern Belgium, over 20 years. Construction is intended to be completed, with the entire existing lighting network upgraded, during the first four years.

The Walloon Infrastructure Supplementary Financing Company (SOFICO), an entity of the regional government, launched a tender for the project in March 2017. One other bid was submitted.
