DIF Capital Partners has announced that it signed an agreement with Wascosa to divest its portfolio consisting of 564 rail freight wagons (Rota Rail II).

The investments come from the core-plus CIF I fund of DIF. Between 2019 and 2021, DIF bought the portfolio, expanded it to its present size, and refurbished some of the railcars to bring them up to the strictest safety standards. With the transaction DIF intends to generate attractive returns for CIF I investors which will further demonstrate the strong CIF fund strategy.

CMS acted as legal and tax advisor to DIF. The acquisition is accepted to be closed in phases throughout the first half of 2023.
