The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) has selected a consortium comprising Bouygues UK and Equitix as the preferred development partner for redeveloping the existing Bankside House student accommodation in Southwark, London, UK.

This project aligns with LSE's goal of offering a bed space to every first-year student by 2030. The specific plans for the redevelopment include:

  • Expanding the building upwards and potentially outwards.
  • Creating a mix of single and shared bedrooms, along with other student facilities like common rooms, study spaces, and a gym.
  • Developing sustainable features like energy-efficient building materials and renewable energy sources.
  • Improving accessibility for students with disabilities.
