Skanska has won two contracts worth a total of US$201 million, one to build a US$103 million academic building for Virginia State University, the other for a US$98 million data center in Arizona, the USA.
The academic commons building project in Petersburg involves the construction of a 53,000 sq m state-of-the-art academic commons building in Petersburg, Virginia, USA. The project includes academic classrooms, media labs, broadcast production labs, multipurpose classrooms, art and design labs and ceramics studios, and distance learning technology. Construction is due to start in January 2023 and be completed in 2025.
Whereas the Data center and office building project in Phoenix involves the construction of a data center in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. The project includes an 80,000 sq m new two-story data center and office building. The data center is the latest in a series of construction projects on the 7-ac campus and is scheduled for completion in November 2023.
