The demolition works at station Burleigh Heads has been completed, paving a way for construction of Gold Coast Light Rail Stage 3A. This extension project will provide light rail connectivity from Broadbeach South to Burleigh Heads for Queensland residents and tourists. The contract award for the concession is expected to take place in the coming months.
After completion, the extension line will improve the transportation connectivity along the north-south spine in Queensland.
