Kansas city council in the USA completed US$ 110 million debt placement covering the initial cost for the development of the city airport project. The debt placement was done with Morgan Stanley. Additionally, the city has approved US$ 1.8 billion bonds issue to provide funds for the project. The authority plans to sell the first round of bonds, expected to be about $800 to $900 million, during summer 2019.

The Kansas City airport project includes the design, construction and financing of a new terminal at Kansas City International Airport (KCI) in Missouri, in the central USA. The new terminal will be built on the site of the airport’s existing Terminal A, and will replace the aging B and C terminals, which were built in 1972. Spanning just over one million square feet, the new terminal will have 39 gates and the ability to expand up to 50 gates in the future. Additional features of the project include a 6,300-space parking structure, which will be constructed adjacent to the terminal building, a central utility plant, and landslide and airside improvements.
