Deadline for the stretch of Adriatic-Ionian motorway is set for September

The tender deadline for the Milot to Fier toll road stretch of the Adriatic-Ionian corridor has been set for September 28.

The project will be implemented on a public-private partnership (PPP) basis.

The duration of the concession/PPP contract will be 35 years. The length of the road is 115 kilometers, of which 53 kilometers will be a new road and 62 kilometers will be rehabilitated road. The cost of the project is estimated at EUR 1.2 billion (USD 1.37 billion). The road will be tolled, for the entire length of 115 kilometers the toll will be about EUR 8.6 (USD 9.8). The winning bidder will also build free alternative roads.

Hill International with Deloitte and LDK Consultant assisted Ministry of Infrastructure in drafting the feasibility study and package of documents for the concession.

According to estimates, the Milot-Fier road segment in the first year is expected to process an average volume of 32 thousand vehicles, to reach in 2055 a doubled number, 62 thousand vehicles. The maximum speed in this segment will be 130 km / h and this whole axis will be described for a time of 1 hour and 15 minutes.
