The Public Works Authority of Qatar, Ashghal, has extended the deadline for the request for proposals for the development of Al Wakra & Al Wukair waste treatment project in Doha. The new deadline is July 24, 2020.
The authority has already pre-qualified seven consortia:
The project involves the development of an Al Wakra & Al Wukair waste treatment facility in Doha, Qatar. The project can accommodate up to 150,000 cubic meters of sewage per day. It includes the provision of a terminal Terminal Pump Station, Wakra Sewage Treatment Works and treated Sewage Effluent management facilities to produce high-quality Treated Sewage Effluent (TSE) and to produce treated sludge that can be disposed of in a landfill, used as fertilizer, or incinerated as needed.
