The regional government of Andalucia is in the final phase of the procedure to rescue the concession contract for the development of Costa del Sol Hospital.

The concessionaire of this project is formed by Inabensa and Assignia Infraestructuras.

The works have been stopped since 2010 and the project entered in a judicial dispute that will see its end very soon. The expansion works originally had a budget of €48.5 million (US$56.84 million), of which half has already been invested. It is estimated that the pending works will need between 18 and 24 months of execution.

The administrative procedure for the resolution of the contract with the concessionaire is in its final stage, expected to be closed in September.

The concession contract included design, build, finance, operation and maintenance of the hospital and a car park for the hospital.
