The Iraqi Ministry of Transport has signed two contract annexes with two Turkish and Chinese companies to build Nasiriyah International Airport in southern Iraq.

The consultancy contract for the Nasiriyah Airport project has been awarded to the Turkish company Kiklop Design Hertz Insaat, with an additional agreement made with the Chinese company China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) for the airport's construction.

Kiklop Design Hertz Insaat will oversee the project's implementation, while CSCEC will build the airport according to international standards. The foundation stone for Nasiriyah Airport was laid in June 2021, following the contract signing between the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority and CSCEC.
