The Department of Highways of Thailand has signed the PPP agreement with the selected consortium BGSR for the operation & maintenance (O&M) of two intercity motorways.
The two roads are the Intercity Motorway No. 6, between Bang Pa-In and Nakhon Ratchasima, and the Intercity Motorway No. 81, connecting Bang Yai and Kanchanaburi. With a combined budget of THB39.14 million (US$1.16 million), both projects are expected to start operations in 2023.
The BGSR consortium is formed by BTS Group Holdings Plc. (40%), Gulf Energy Development Plc. (40%), Sino-Thai Engineering & Construction Plc. (10%) and Ratch Group Plc. (10%). The contract for O&M is awarded for a period of 30 years.
