Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Aramco) has awarded 2 contracts worth a combined value of US$439 million for the construction and management of a water treatment plant for the ZULUF onshore oil facilities in Saudi Arabia.
The US$327 million 1st contract is an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract, that includes the construction of a plant for the ZULUF Central Processing Facilities and it will be constructed for a consortium consisting of Almar Water Solutions and Aljomaih Energy and Water Co Ltd. The project is expected to take 3 years to complete.
The 2nd contract, valued at US$112 million, entails the operation and maintenance of the plant for 25 years and is a joint venture between Fisia Italimpianti, Almar Water Solutions, Aljomaih Energy and Water Co Ltd, and Aquatech International.
