Dubai’s Al Habtoor Group has picked China Railway 18th Bureau to build a US$1 Billion residential tower in the UAE.
The building will be constructed using a top-down method with the use of heavy equipment from Bauer. The 18th Bureau group is a subsidiary of China Railway Construction Corporation. Bavarian piling specialist Bauer has been selected to provide a distinctive foundation solution for the project. The chosen method involves the use of barrettes, which are cast-in-situ concrete piles known for their ability to withstand heavy loads. These barrettes, supplied by Bauer, will be impressively deep, exceeding a depth of 90 m.
The Al Habtoor Tower, a residential skyscraper, is set to reach completion in 2024, standing tall at 81 stories with a total height of 360 m. Situated in the Al Habtoor City development on Sheikh Zayed Road, the tower boasts a prime location within proximity to prominent areas such as the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and the Dubai Water Canal, offering convenient access for residents.
