Contract signed for USD24 million Police Headquarters PPP Project in Lithuania

The Police Department of Lithuania has signed a contract with the BaltCap for the development of new County Police Headquarters in Šiauliai, Lithuania.

The project involves a new building of around 5,200 sq m on a land plot of 1.4 ha in Šiauliai. It will be a 4-storey building for 245 employees, a 270-space parking lot including 49 spaces reserved for visitors. The facility will be designed by 2L architects and developed under design, build, finance and operate (DBFO) model of Public-Private Partnership (PPP).

The project intends to build a modern and fit for purpose A++ energy class building to improve the working environment for the police personnel.

BaltCap will be responsible to complete the development of the new headquarters within 3 years and to provide facility maintenance and operation services for another 12 years. The contract agreement was valued at EUR22 million (US$23 million).
