The Municipality of Teresina and the Teresina Luz consortium (Conasa Infraestrutura, FM Rodrigues and Brasiluz) signed PPP contract for public lighting in Teresina. The contract was modeled by the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES).
The consortium will be responsible for the modernization, expansion, and maintenance of the municipal public lighting network in Teresina for a concession period of 20 years. More than 90 thousand existing lamps will be replaced by LED lamps, reducing energy consumption in public lighting by around 50% and increasing the operational efficiency of the network. The contract also includes the implementation of intelligent systems of operation and remote monitoring.
The investment value for the project is BRL 260 million (US$ 48.69 million).
