MATARAT Holding has signed a 3-year contract with Egis to provide consulting services to 26 airports in Saudi Arabia.

The contract includes:

  • designing a practical guide for project implementation;
  • quality control and safety procedures;
  • the work of a matrix to improve design specifications and standards in alignment with international best practices; and
  • environmental and sustainability requirements.

It aims to establish phased project management portals, update airport project management policies and procedures and provide technical support for planning and designing. This action will help achieve the National Aviation Strategy's goals, which include increasing the number of foreign destinations to 250 and the passenger capacity to 330 million. These goals are derived from the National Strategy for Transport and Logistics Services.
