China Everbright Water Limited (Everbright Water) has signed agreements with Huanghua City Management and Comprehensive Administrative Law Enforcement Bureau, Hebei Province, for the Huanghua wastewater treatment PPP project.

With a total investment of approximately CNY208 million (US$32.55 million), the project provides treatment services for municipal wastewater and a small amount of industrial wastewater. The project company established by Everbright Water will be responsible for the financing, operation and maintenance of the Huanghua project. The concession period is 30 years.

The project's total designed wastewater treatment capacity is 40,000 m3/day, which is distributed by three sub-projects: Huanghua Tengzhuangzi Waste Water Treatment Project with a designed wastewater treatment capacity of 20,000 m3/day, Huanghua Town Waste Water Treatment Project with a capacity of 10,000 m3/day and Huanghua Urban Area Waste Water Treatment Project with a treatment capacity of 10,000 m3/day. All sub-projects are already in operation, and the moisture content of the sludge generated by them is lower than 60% after the dewatering process.
