Contract signed for Circuit 6 road PPP in Uruguay

The Ministry of Transport and Public Works has signed PPP contract with Grupo Cuchilla Grande SA for the development of the Circuit 6 road network on Route No. 6 and By-Pass San Ramón of Uruguay.

The consortium is formed by the companies Construcciones Viales y Civiles (CVC) SA and Rover Alcisa SA. It will be responsible for designing, constructing, financing and operating a 78 km road network that begins in Cuchilla Grande and ends at route 12 in Florida.

The estimated investment in the project is US$199 million. The first 10 kilometers of the route, which cover Avenida de las Instructions, are double tracks. The road will pass through 16 bridges.
