Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) in Paraguay has signed a contract agreement on October 29, 2019, with a consortium Consorcio del Sur made of Eurofinsa SA and Ingeniería de Topografía y Caminos SA for the Avenida Costanera Sur de Asunción road project.
The project includes the development of 7.5 kilometers long highway connecting Lambaré Hill to Avda Colón. The scope of works includes the construction of a service lane that will be part of the urbanization of an area of 66 hectares that will be conditioned at a non-flood level by the method of refining, benefiting more than 2,500 families residing in the area with decent social housing.
The road will have a Linear Park of 1000 meters, urban equipment, and basic services for the convenience of citizens. The project will include the installation of garbage dumps, banks, bicycle parking, toilets, emergency posts and landscaping that incorporates native species. The main avenue will have 4 lanes (two lanes per side), divided by a 15-meter wide central promenade. The road will have a storm drain system, public lighting and installation of running water, as well as underground pipelines for the installation of weak signals. To this are added parking lots, inclusive accesses, vertical, horizontal and porch signaling signs.
The Rutas del Este consortium, led by Sacyr Concesiones, has issued a US$240 million bond to finance the construction of the Routes 2 and 7 expansion PPP Project in Paraguay.
