The Westminster City Council has signed the contract concession with Bouygues UK for the design and build the first phase of the new Ebury Bridge Estate. The new Ebury Bridge Estate will create around 758 high-quality, energy-efficient homes, including at least 386 affordable homes, which is the largest development of new council and affordable homes in the south of Westminster in a generation. Ebury is located in the South-West of the borough, close to the mainline Victoria Station.
The works are expected to start by the end of 2020 and the commencement of building homes will take place in 2021. As part of the council’s ambition to reach zero carbon by 2040, the council and Bouygues UK will work together to meet sustainable development accreditations for the BREEAM Communities Excellent standard as well as the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
