The Ministry of Health (MINSA) and PROINVERSIÓN have announced that the contract for operating and maintaining the Villa El Salvador Emergency Hospital (HEVES) will be awarded in Q2 of 2025.
The HEVES project will serve over 780,000 residents in southern Lima and nearby areas. Delivered through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) for 16 years, it includes a one-year pre-operational phase for infrastructure repairs and equipment upgrades, followed by 15 years dedicated to operations and maintenance.
Six prequalified bidders are competing for the HEVES project, which requires a US$288 million budget under the Gray Coat modality. This includes hospital general services such as food, laundry, cleaning, security, infrastructure maintenance, electromechanical systems, and clinical/non-clinical equipment. The project will enhance free healthcare services for residents in Villa El Salvador, Lurín, Pachacámac, Pucusana, and surrounding districts through upgraded infrastructure, equipment, and services.
