The National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) has awarded a US$0.92 billion contract to Termotecnica Coindustrial SAS for the renewal and improvement of the Rafael Núñez International Airport in Cartagena, Colombia.
The Rafael Núñez Airport is set to undergo significant upgrades, including the construction of a new terminal building spanning 17,360 m2 and the renovation of 2,814 m2 in the existing terminal. The Cartagena airport will see a total of 22 interventions, encompassing maintenance for the control tower and Aerocivil offices, as well as locative repairs for floors, walls, ceilings, doors, and lighting. The comprehensive intervention extends to expanding the commercial platform by 15,740 m2, bringing the total to 99,770 m2. Additionally, there will be a development of 11,683 m2 for parking with a capacity for 330 vehicles and the construction of a parallel road to the runway to enhance operational efficiency.
