Contract awarded for two motorways project in North Macedonia

The government of North Macedonia has picked a joint venture between US engineer Bechtel and Turkish contractor Enka to build two motorway projects in North Macedonia.

Two motorways with a total length of 110 km are:

  • corridor 8, an east-west route connecting the Adriatic and Black seas between Albania and Bulgaria; and
  • corridor 10, connects Austria and Greece.

In 2023, construction will begin. By the end of 2028, all of the work on the roads in North Macedonia will be finished.
