South Carolina’s Greenville Spartanburg Airport and the Georgia Department of Transportation have selected Webber for two construction projects in the USA.
Webber, a Ferrovial U.S. construction subsidiary will expand the ramp and roadway at Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport in South Carolina which is expected to be completed by the end of 2023. The project intends to increase the capacity of the cargo area used by the companies that operate regularly at the airport.
Webber will also undertake the rehabilitation of the I-75 highway. Starting from north of SR 96 and stretching south of Sardis Church Road, the subsidiary will restore 16.9 km of concrete on Interstate 75. It involves the removal and replacement of nearly 21,000 sq m of concrete pavement.
With these two contracts, Webber is working on civil works projects in Texas, Georgia, Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Together, the South Carolina and Georgia projects are worth US$31.3 million.
