The Department of Education of the UK has selected Kier to deliver two new blocks for the Saint John Henry Newman Catholic School in Stevenage. The contract was awarded through the Priority School Building Programme Phase 2.
The project involves the construction of two new buildings totalling 5,286 square meters to accommodate teaching spaces, administration facilities, a dining area and main hall. New facilities will replace much of the older ones on site. In addition, the scope of works includes minor refurbishment and extensive landscaping to create outdoor spaces.
The construction works will begin on site in summer 2021 and are expected to be completed by the end of 2023.
