Contract awarded for Public lighting PPP project in Jaboatão dos Guararapes

The Municipality of Jaboatão dos Guararapes in Pernambuco, Brazil has awarded the contract for public lighting concession to Luz do Guararapes consortium. The consortium comprises of Enel X, Mobit and Selt. The contract was awarded after the consoritum won the auction with a bid of BRL214 million (US$42.88 million). 

The municipality obtained a discount of 54% on original quote in the auction that will result in savings of 71% when the lighting is fully installed at the end of 2023. The concessionaire will be responsible for providing services involving the implementation, installation, recovery, modernization, improvement, efficiency, expansion, operation, and maintenance of the municipal lighting network.
