The Australian Government has awarded a contract to CPB Contractors Pty Ltd for North Queensland Mid-Term Refresh Program.
The contract includes the delivery of new and upgraded engineering services, building refurbishment works, and additional transit living-in accommodation.The Program involves the provision of estate maintenance and upgrades at RAAF Base Townsville, HMAS Cairns and the Townsville Field Training Area. It aims to provide critical infrastructure support to Australian Defence Force capability across the Townsville and Cairns region.
The managing contractor project works are valued at approximately US$104 million. The construction phase of the scheme will begin in early 2023, with completion scheduled for mid-2025.
