Skanska has signed a US$30 million contract with San Bernardino County Transportation Authority to rebuild of the North 1st Avenue Bridge project in California, USA.
Under the contract, Skanska will be responsible for the replacement of Avenue Bridge over the Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) railyard with a new two-lane bridge. The scope of Work includes:
The new bridge will continue to serve as the main connector for schools, neighborhoods, hospitals and other services in Barstow.
The project is expected to begin in January 2023, and completion is anticipated in 2024.
