Enersense International Plc has announced that it won a project in Fingrid’s public procurement tendering regarding substation expansions in Huittinen-Forssa, Finland.
The project involves the expansion of the substation in Huittinen-Forssa, Finland, by building a new transmission line. The new line will replace the existing 110 kV transmission line to reduce land use impacts and improve reliability for maintenance and emergencies. The project also includes the modernization of the protection and automation system, i.e. intelligent substation systems. The new transmission line will allow the transfer of excess wind energy from growing production on the west coast to southern Finland. It will also allow connection to renewable energy sources.
Enersense will be involved in the project for approximately 3 years, preparations for which will begin immediately. The cost of the project is about EUR13 million (US$14 million).
