Green Park Cooling Company has awarded a district cooling services contract to SNC-Lavalin in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
SNC-Lavalin has been entrusted with the responsibility of delivering engineering, procurement, and construction services for the district cooling plant (DCP) at King Salman Park. With a final capacity of 60,000 TR, the comprehensive scope of services includes complete design, installation, automation, testing, and commissioning of the plant. The innovative design enables the DCP to be implemented in 3 phases while ensuring uninterrupted plant operation. To ensure efficient project delivery, the development of a detailed design will incorporate Building Information Modeling (BIM) and data analytics tools for progress monitoring and optimization.
King Salman Park, located in the heart of Riyadh, is poised to become a sustainable haven that nurtures productivity, creativity, and innovation for future generations in the Kingdom. Spanning over 16 km2, the park boasts extensive open green spaces, covering more than 11.6 km2, adorned with one million trees. It will be home to notable attractions such as the Royal Arts Complex, the National Theater, a 7.2 km pedestrian loop, and a captivating "valley" adorned with art and water features.
