Shimizu-led JV (A joint venture formed by Shimizu Corporation and PT Adhi Karya) has secured a contract for the second phase of Jakarta MRT North-South Line "CP202" in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The project involves the development of a 1,840m-long underground section including three stations. The construction of the project was planned to start in 2019, and is targeted to complete in 2024. MRT Jakarta route from Hotel Indonesia Roundabout to Kampung Bandan is expected to become operational in early 2025.

The consortium will be responsible for constructing a 6.0km subway line extending from the “Bundaran H.I. Station” at the northern end of the already-operational section up to the Kota district in northern Jakarta, wherein the seven new stations will be built. The construction work is divided into three contract packages, of which the CP201 (length: 2,676m) from Bundaran HI Station to Harmoni Station was awarded to Shimizu-Adhi Karya JV in March 2020 as the first construction contract of the three packages.
