The Green Line Board has approved the Development Phase Agreement and selected Bow Transit Connectors (BTC) as Green Line’s Development Partner.
BTC consists of a joint venture of Barnard Constructors of Canada LP, Flatiron Constructors Canada Ltd. and WSP Canada Inc. with financial advisors EllisDon Capital Inc. The Green Line Phase 1 LRT project is now in the development phase, which will allow for collaboration, design advancement, and agreement on project cost, risk, and overall schedule between Green Line and BTC prior to a project agreement. The development phase has been extended from approximately 12 months to 16 months, with the implementation phase due to start in 2024. BTC offers its sub-consultants for the project: Delve Underground, Platinum Engineering Ltd, Egis, IBI, GEC Architecture and Architecture 49.
The north-south green line will intersect both existing lines in the city center and will also connect to four bus routes. Plans also call for the Green Line to be extended to about 28.5 miles with 29 stations.
