Eiffage, through its subsidiary Herbosch-Kiere, has been awarded by Port of Antwerp-Bruges, Belgium, the EUR335 million (US$326 million) contract to modernize the Europa Terminal, in a consortium with Artes Roegiers, Artes Depret and Boskalis.
The project with the aim to protect marine life and fauna involves increasing the capacity of the Europa Terminal at the Port of Antwerp-Bruges, Belgium, by one-third and facilitating the transition to a climate-neutral port. The project includes large-scale offshore works to create berths for vessels with a draft of up to 16 meters, increased from the current 13.5 meters:
The share of Eiffage is EUR129million (US$125 million) according to the contract. Work on the project will be carried out in three phases over 9 years and has already begun in September 2022.
