The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LA Metro) has awarded Flatiron a US$99.6 million contract for the Eastbound State Route 91 (EB SR-91) Atlantic to Cherry Improvements project in Los Angeles County, USA.
The EB SR-91 project entails the addition of an eastbound auxiliary lane between the I-710 freeway and the Atlantic Avenue on-ramp and Cherry Avenue off-ramp. This initiative aims to benefit commuters in the Long Beach area by enhancing traffic flow, reducing congestion, and improving safety. This project marks the fourth recent collaboration between LA Metro and Flatiron in the Los Angeles region. In addition to this endeavor, other partnerships with LA Metro include the Rosecrans/Marquardt Grade Separation project aimed at enhancing railway crossing safety, the I-105 Express Lanes project aimed at alleviating highway congestion, and the Metro G Line Bus Rapid Transit Improvements project aimed at reducing transit travel times.
