Contract Awarded for Donald C. Tillman Water Purification Plant in Los Angeles

The LA Sanitation and Environment (LASAN) and the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) has awarded the contract for Donald C. Tillman Advanced Water Purification Facility in Los Angeles, USA.

The selected consortium will be responsible for the design, permitting, construction, start-up and commissioning of the facility using advanced treatment processes, such as microfiltration, reverse osmosis and ultraviolet. At the Hansen Spreading Grounds of the city, the Donald C. Tillman Advanced Water Purification Facility (AWPF) will collect and store groundwater. The plant will treat tertiary effluent from the currently operating Donald C. Tillman Water Reclamation Plant and minimize the quantity of water imported into Los Angeles.
