Egypt’s Ministry of Transport has signed a contract with MEDLOG MSC company to finance, design, develop, operate and maintain a dry port and logistic center in the 10th of Ramadan city.
MEDLOG operates as the logistics subsidiary of the Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC). Partially financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the Robeiky – 10th of Ramadan – Belbeis Railway Line will establish a connection between the Dry Port and Logistics Centre and the Egyptian National Railways (ENR) network. This initiative will cover a 250-acre area in the 10th of Ramadan City, with the Dry Port occupying 130 acres and the Logistics Centre utilizing the remaining space.
The project aims to enhance trade flow by reducing congestion of goods and containers at seaports, improving logistics services, reducing transportation costs for commodities, and expediting customs clearance processes.
