Implenia has announced that the working group under the technical leadership of Implenia wins the construction contract for the A7 Rader High Bridge public-private partnership (PPP) project in Germany.
The consortium includes Implenia, Plauen Stahl Technologie and Zwickauer Sonderstahlbau. The EUR250 million (US$262 million) project involves the construction of a new 1500 m road bridge along the A7 motorway east of Rendsburg, Schleswig-Holstein, across the Kiel Canal and Borgstädter Enge, Germany. 42m high bridge will be built using a composite steel structure and will play an important role in traffic to Denmark and Scandinavia. The customer of the project is Deutsche Einheit Fernstraßenplanungs- und -bau GmbH (DEGES). Implenia's share for the project is more than EUR100 million (US$104 million), while the share of Plauen Stahl Technologie together with Zwickauer Sonderstahlbau is about EUR150 million (US$157 million).
The project will start in January 2023 and is expected to be completed by the end of 2026.
