New York’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority has awarded a US$700 million contract for more than 50 infrastructure development projects in the city.
Arcadis, a design and engineering consultancy, and Vanasse Hangen Brustlin (VHB), a civil engineering contractor, have been selected to provide overall engineering consulting services to assist the client's capital infrastructure program in 2023-24.
The team will work on both design-build and design-bid-build infrastructure projects. The VHB/Arcadis JV will provide repairs and improvements across New York City’s transit system in four categories: bus facilities, line structure infrastructure, rail facilities and trackside power.
