The state agency PROINVERSIÓN has announced that the Puerto Maldonado Wastewater Treatment Plant project (PTAR Puerto Maldonado) will be awarded in Q2 of 2023.
The project tender is presently in the phase of obtaining approval for the final iteration of the concession contract from the involved entities, including PROINVERSIÓN, MEF, Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation (MVCS), regulatory body, and the Comptroller General of the Republic.
The Puerto Maldonado WWTP, along with the Large Cities Project and the Storm Drainage Project, constitutes an integral part of MVCS's strategy to bridge the gaps in drinking water, sewerage, wastewater treatment, and rainwater drainage in Puerto Maldonado.
