The National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) has held consultation tables along with the Ministry of Transport and Perimetral Oriental de Bogotá SAS (POB) Concession in charge of the Cundinamarca East Perimeter project in Colombia.
The project involves the development of a 152 km long road corridor connecting the eastern zone of Cundinamarca with Boyacá, the Eastern Plains and the National Road Network. The corridor passes through the municipalities of Cáqueza, Ubaque, Choachí, La Calera, Guasca, Guatavita, Sesquilé and Sopó and includes five (5) functional units.
The intention of the consultation tables was to discuss the critical points with the aim of establishing a permanent dialogue and meeting the requests of the communities in the regions. To improve the trafficability of the road corridor three axes have been decided during the consultation tables. These axes are: continuation of priority interventions, activities to fine-tune the most vulnerable sectors of the road and attention to critical points.
In this way, the immediate intervention will be carried out on two work fronts, commencing from Cáqueza (Functional Unit 5) and Choachí (Functional Unit 4). Priority will also be given to the critical points in the La Calera - Choachí segment (Functional Unit 4).
