Nottingham City Council in the UK is considering to appoint a consultant to provide commercial advice for the tram network in the city. The project involves the extension and operation of the tram network in Nottingham, located in central England.
The consultant will advise the council as well as the tram operator Nottingham Tramlink with the aim to increase the number of passengers. The tram lines are struggling to attract users after the pandemic, and it has recorded a 23.4% decrease in ridership.
The consultant contract is valued at GBP150,000 (US$195,708). It will evaluate complex commercial issues relating to the tram service and provide suggestions for improvements.
