The Costa Rican government and the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (Cabei) have sought for a consulting firm to conduct studies to enable modifications to upgrade the San José-San Ramón road corridor in Costa Rica.
The consulting firm will be responsible to carry out technical and operational optimization studies, which will serve as a base to amend the project and make it technically and financially feasible. The project comprises widening and upgrading 55 km of the General Cañas and Bernardo Soto highways between San José and San Ramón.
The bank declared that it is allocating US$1 million to initiate a global bidding process aimed at identifying a firm capable of conducting technical and operational optimization assessments. The results of these assessments intend to serve as a foundation for modifying the project and making it viable both technically and financially.
