Caxxor Group has selected Engage Construction Management and Consulting (Engage), a Canadian consultancy company to work on part of a US$3.3billion plan for the Northern transcontinental rail corridor PPP project. The company will be involved in designing a logistics corridor running more than 7,000 km from the Pacific coast of Mexico up through the US to the Canadian city of Winnipeg.

The project requires building a logistics terminal in Winnipeg, Canada, and expanding the shipyard at the Port of Mazatlán in Mexico. The new logistics terminals would handle containers, automobiles, bulk commodities, and petroleum products. The aim is to increase transcontinental competitiveness through rail connectivity across North America as well as reduce freight costs and transport times.
