The Urban Development Corporation (SAU) has appointed the consortium BAM Interbuild - Groven+ to construct the FRAME media centre project in Belgium. Located at the corner of Boulevard Reyers and Rue Colonel Bourg in Schaerbeek, the building will be a flagship for a new creative Brussels district dedicated to the media. The consortium has been selected during the European public procurement process issued by the SAU in 2020.
The new building will have a total floor space of 8,157 sq m, covering basement level, ground floor and five upper floors. It will be occupied by such media companies as the Region’s French-language TV channel BX1, the IHECS Academy and screen.brussels. In addition, the building will include various shared facilities, an auditorium and an innovation platform.
The construction is expected to commence in June 2021. The building will be finished by 2023.
