SiFi Networks is planning to start the construction soon for the FiberCity project in Simi Valley, California.
The network will deliver 10 gigabit-enabled speeds to over 47,000 residents and businesses in the city. The network will be privately funded by SiFi Network through a funding agreement of US$82 million with the Smart City Infrastructure Fund (SCIF).
Lat Long Infrastructure (LLI) has been appointed by SiFi networks to provide construction contractor services, which will begin in December 2021. Flume Internet and GigabitNow are selected as the first Internet Service Providers for the project. The network is expected to be operational in Summer 2022.
