Manila Water has started implementation works for the water supply concession in the province of Pangasinan, Philippines.
Manila Water signed the concession with the local government for the development of infrastructure to supply additional 200 million liters of water per day (MLD) in 14 municipalities in the province. The water will be sourced from Agno River using the riverbank filtration technology and will be supplied to municipalities of Villasis, Urdaneta, Malasiqui, Dagupan, Mangaldan, Sta. Barbara, Calasiao, Mapandan, Manaoag, San Carlos, Binmaley, Lingayen, San Jacinto, and San Fabian.
The concession period for the project is 25 years. Manila Water will provide Design, Build, Finance, Operation and Maintainance (DBFOM) of the infrastructure. The estimated investment value for the project is PHP8 billion (US$156.07 million).
