TheNational Infrastructure Agency (ANI) in Colombia has announced the completion of the Pacifico 2 highway project. The concessionaire has delivered the 96-kilometer road corridor connecting Antioquia and the Pacific through four units, ranging from Bolombolo to La Pintada.
Pacifico 2 is part of the Fourth Generation (4G) program of road concessions. With an investment of COP1.5 trillion (US$40.95 million), the project has delivered 54 km of rehabilitated roads, 37 km of new dual carriageway roads, 3 km of new single carriageway roads as well as two parallel tunnels of 2.5 kilometers. The concession will now enter the operation and maintenance phase of the 96.5 km extension.
